We are committed to partnering with federal and state leaders to implement this solution and ensure the safety of our communities. I commend Chairman Carr for calling this vote, Senator Tom Cotton, and Congressman David Kustoff for pursuing legislative action in this arena, along with criminal justice leaders across the nation for their strong support on this critical public safety issue.”
The Florida Department of Corrections is proud to support this initiative pending approval and looks forward to the positive impact it would have on enhancing the safety and security of correctional institutions across the nation. FDC remains committed to working with federal and state leaders to implement effective solutions that protect both the public and correctional staff from the ever-present dangers posed by contraband cellphones.
