Back-to-School season is in full swing, and Palms Medical Group has stuffed, distributed, and given out 600 backpacks to community members and various partnering community organizations throughout our 13-location service area.
From Lake City to Williston and Fleming Island to Bell, Palms has either hosted or participated in 11 separate Back-to-School events across North Central Florida between Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, August 10, 2025.
“Palms Medical Group exists to enhance the health and well-being of our communities,” said Anita Rembert, CEO of Palms Medical Group. “Being able to give back to the families in these areas – especially the children as they prepare to embark on the new school year – exemplifies that very mission.”
The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) just celebrated National Health Center Week 2025 (NHCW). This week highlights the essential role these health centers play in improving public health and providing Americans with access to critical healthcare services. This backpack giveaway effort was one of the ways Palms Medical Group celebrated NHCW this year.
Palms Medical Group organizes throughout the year various outreach efforts just like this one for the neighborhoods we serve. In addition to backpack giveaways in August, Palms participates in Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives, health fairs, and a variety of community sponsorships.
