On Monday October 2nd the Trenton Lady Tiger volleyball team traveled to Dixie County to take on the Bears. The first set came to a slow start for the Tigers. The Tigers were competing but they didn’t have what they needed the keep off the Bears. The Bears let the Tigers slow start be their advantage in this game. This Bears were able to come up with the first win of the night by winning the first set 25-16. The second set of the night was a little sloppy for the Tigers. They had just come of a 1st set loss from the Bears and they needed to get something going in order to get a win. The Tigers weren’t able to do that. They instead made mistakes which cost them in the end. All of the Tigers mistakes piled up and was costly. The Bears came up with their second win of the night by winning the second set 12-25. The third set of the night was the Tigers worse set of the evening. The Tigers could never get a groove going when the Bears were able too. Serve after serve the Tigers could never find anything. The bears were able to come with their third win of the night by winning the 3rd set 8-25.
On Tuesday October 3rd, the Tigers traveled to Saint Francis to take on the Wolves. This game was a positive game for the Tigers. After having a bunch of upsetting games this game is what the Tigers needed. The Tigers started the night off strong and also finished the night strong. Which means this was a complete game of good Volleyball played by the Tigers. The Tigers were able to start the first set of the night off with a lead. Then Tigers then tacked on more and more points to keep that lead. The first set of the night went to the Tigers. The second set of the night allowed the Tigers the ability to play more good physical volleyball. With winning the first set of the night the Tigers had the confidence they needed to continue a strong game. The Tigers won the second set of the night. The third set of the night was another strong match for the Tigers. The Tigers played with confidence the whole game and it really showed. Especially in the third set. The third set was won by the Tigers and they picked up their 3rd win of the season.
On Thursday October 5th, the Tigers hosted the Williston Red Devils for their final home game of the season. This game was a tough one for the Tigers. The Tigers had a slow start to this game. The first set was a crazy one for the Tigers. The Tigers were fighting during this game but their fight wasn’t enough to keep the Red Devils from striking. The Red Devils came to play on Thursday. The Red Devils took set one from the Tigers by a score of 25-18. The second set was another crazy one for the Tigers. The Tigers fought to win a set but they came up short. The Red Devils weren’t going to let that happen. The Tigers couldn’t come up with enough and the Red Devils one the second set 25-15. The third set of the night the Tigers fell apart. They started making mistakes that cost them. That didn’t stop the Red Devils though. They took the Tigers mistakes and put them for their advantage and came up with their third win of the night by beating the Tigers 25-12.
This week the Tigers travel to Fort White on Monday and then travel to Chiefland on Tuesday to take on the Indians.
