WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, PROPERTY AND CASUALTY
INSURANCE COVERAGES
Gilchrist County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, by and through its Board of County Commissioners, hereby gives notice that it will receive sealed proposals for Workers’ Compensation, Property and Casualty Insurance Coverages for Gilchrist County government operations. Proposals are invited from licensed Florida resident agents, licensed insurance carriers, and trusts with expertise in public-entity risk.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE:
Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. (Eastern Time)
PUBLIC OPENING:
Proposals received by the deadline will be publicly opened on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. (ET) at the Gilchrist County Board Room, 210 S. Main St, Trenton, FL 32693.
COVERAGE EFFECTIVE DATE:
October 1, 2026

The complete RFP #26-01-P&C package may be obtained at no charge from the Gilchrist County website at https://gilchrist.fl.us. It is the sole responsibility of each respondent to monitor the website for any addenda issued prior to the proposal deadline.
WRITTEN QUESTIONS DEADLINE:
Requests for clarification or additional information must be submitted in writing to Todd Newton, Clerk & Comptroller, via email to tnewton@gilchrist.fl.us no later than Friday, July 24, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. (ET). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
