For the second year in a row, Trenton baseball took home the district championship and will host a regional semifinal.
The Tigers shut out Chiefland, 5-0 on Thursday, then turned around thumped Williston, 12-3, in the championship game.
Trenton now hosts Dixie County on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 in a best-of-three series.
Game one will be at 7 p.m. Friday night and game two will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Should the teams split the first two games, game three would also be played on Saturday.
Trenton would host either Marathon or Williston if they win this series.
The regional final series would take place Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9.
