Quilt Festival to be held Saturday

The ladies of the Springhouse Quilt Guild have been busy this past year making patriotic quilts to celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States of America. During the Suwannee Valley Quilt Festival which will be held on Saturday, March 28th, in Trenton at the Historic Depot this collection of red, white and blue quilts will be exhibited in a Views Choice special exhibited.
The 34 year old Springhouse Quilt Guild is proud to participate in the festival each year. The guild also has several community service projects in progress at this time and in April they plan to hold a beginners class for those interested in learning how to quilt. The guild also host several retreats and workshops through out the year.
During the Suwannee Valley Quilt festival the guild will have lots of handmade items as well as many beautiful local made quilts on display. So stop by and visit with guild members between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Depot, NW 4th, Avenue in Trenton. This longtime local event is hosted by the Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce and will include a car show, antiques, vendors, food trucks and more.
