The Varsity Lady Bulldogs won against Countryside Christian Minutemen for the first time in several seasons on Monday, January 6th at Bell High School with the final score 47- 24. It was also the 3rd annual Veterans night hosted by the Lady Bulldogs honoring all veterans in attendance. During halftime each veteran’s name, the armed branch in which they served, what they did, and years of service were announced as they were escorted by the Bell student athletes across the gym floor. At the conclusion of the presentation the national anthem was sung by a local resident and a complete meal was offered to the veterans and their spouses. The meal was provided by the Bell Courtside Club basketball boosters.
Halftime did not slow down the Lady Bulldog’s momentum. They held the lead all 4 quarters with senior Dacy Graham coming in with 14 rebounds. High scorers of the night were Freshman, Cheyenne Arban (18 pts) along with seniors, Dacy Graham (8pts) and Lindsey Collett (8pts).
