Trenton baseball defeated Dixie County and Chiefland last week to win the district championship.
The Tigers beat Dixie County, 19-3, in the semifinals and Chiefland, 4-3, in the final to take home the title.
The Tigers’ reward for winning the title is at least two more games against the Indians in the FHSAA’s new playoff format for baseball.
The best-of-three series will take place on April 28 and 29 and the if-necessary game will be May 1.
The winner will take on the winner of the series between No. 2 seed Fort Meade and No. 3 seed Marathon in the regional final.
