Bell requests representative from audit company attend April meeting due to state audit not being submitted

The town of Bell has requested a representative the company it uses for its audit attend its April meeting.
Town attorney David Lang said he received an email from the state saying state funds could be withheld if the town’s audit was not submitted before April 3.
Lang said all of the documents were submitted to the accounting company to be submitted to the state, but the company has not submitted the audit.
Bell is one of 15 municipalities that have not submitted an audit.

Hawthorne
Hialeah Gardens
Indiantown
Jacob City
Magnonia Park
Miami Shores
Neptune Beach
New Port Richey
Quincy Community Redevelopment Agency
Raiford
Safety HarborVero Beach
Welaka
Bell will allow Gilchrist League teams to use the clay baseball/softball field.
The teams will maintain the field in return for use of the fields.
All volunteers will have to sign a volunteer form with the town.
The town plans to change an ordinance regarding the park and business being conducted there.
The current ordinance bans yard or garage sales from being conducted in the park.
The new ordinance would ban all commercial business from being conducted in the park.
Yard sales will still be allowed in the Bell Mall across from Burger Spot.
