The Forestry Service and Gilchrist County Fire Rescue responded to a wildfire two miles east of US 129 north of Bell Thursday and Friday.
As of Friday at 3:45 p.m., the Florida Forest Service Waccasassa Forestry Center reported that the fire was 98 percent contained at 379 acres.
Florida Highway Patrol had put out road signs advising caution due to smoky conditions. They were removed as of the 3:45 p.m. Friday update.
