District tournaments for boys and girls basketball are this week.
Girls districts are already underway, with Bell and Trenton both winning their opening-round games.
Bell is in 1A District 6 while Trenton is in District 7.
Bell defeated Union County, 35-30, while Trenton defeated Bronson, 74-10.
Both teams advanced to the semifinals of their respective districts.
Trenton will host Williston Wednesday at 7 p.m..
Bell will take on Hawthorne in Fort White at 6 p.m..
Boys districts started on Tuesday.
Bell took on Union County in the first round of the District 6 Tournament while Trenton faced off with Bronson in the first round of the District 7 Tournament.
A win for Bell would advance them to the semifinals against Newberry. Trenton would see Chiefland.

UPDATE: Bell’s boys and girls teams were eliminated after press time. Union County defeated the Bell boys, 74-22, and Hawthorne defeated the girls team, 78-16. Both of Trenton’s teams are still alive with the boys defeating Bronson, 53-48, and the girls defeating Bronson, 74-10, Williston, 48-46. The boys take on Chiefland in the district semifinals on Thursday and the girls play Wildwood on Friday for the district championship.
