The Trenton City Council was scheduled to discuss its Public Safety Chief position at Monday’s meeting.
But with only three members of the council in attendance, the council chose to table the discussion until its next meeting.
The council did approve a pay increase for its interim lieutenant position with its fire service.
The council voted to move forward with a $200 per month pay increase for interim-Lieutenant Trey Wilson on top of his current pay of $100 per shift.
City Manager Brittany Mills recommended that pay increase based on the department’s pay scale from 2017.
The council will discuss the pay increase again at the next meeting when it has a full board.
The council also approved a plan for a storage building behind the Trenton Ace Hardware store.
The approval is dependent on some issues getting fixed, such as adding trash receptacles and the distance between the storage building and the store on the site plan. The store also has an outstanding mortgage.
