Fanning Springs man killed in crash Tuesday morning

A Fanning Springs man was killed in a crash on US 19 Tuesday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer was backing into Cash and Carry Pole Barns around 6:50 a.m..
The 68-year-old Fanning Springs man was headed south in the outside lane of 19 when he collided with the trailer.
The man was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The southbound side of 19 was closed and traffic was rerouted.
The road was reopened at 12:25 p.m., according to FHP.
The accident is still under investigation.
